At the heart of this initiative is a retrofitted Mercedes-Benz Citaro O530 bus, equipped with a 318kWh battery pack utilizing an innovative immersion cooling technology powered by MIVOLT dielectric fluids. This proprietary system enhances energy density, safety, and charging speed while ensuring optimal thermal management of the battery. Fully compliant with ECE R10 and ECE R100 regulations, the bus is a testament to engineering excellence.
Designed for the future of urban transport, the converted bus has been rigorously tested over 40,000 kilometers on Istanbul roads. It boasts a 250 km range, a top speed of 70 km/h, and an impressive 45-minute charging time. As part of a broader plan to retrofit 400 buses, this project marks a significant step towards achieving a zero-emission future for Istanbul.
